eLearning2 Boot Camp
New for the 2019-2020 school year, students entering the 6th grade at Edina Public Schools will be assigned a district-provided Chromebook. No outside devices will be permitted for use. In order to receive a learning device, incoming 6th grade students are required to:
- Provide a completed loan agreement form.
- Attend eLearning2 Boot Camp with a parent or guardian.
eLearning2 Boot Camp content will be delivered at each middle school’s Get Connected Day; however, attending a July session of eLearning2 Boot Camp will allow families to receive information in a more quiet setting and allow students more time to get comfortable with the Chromebook. Content included in the eLearning2 Boot Camp includes: Edina Apps, Digital Age Learning, Norms at School, Establishing Norms at Home, Resources, and Troubleshooting Information. Students will also receive their learning device for the school year.
eLearning2 Boot Camp is a collaborative learning experience for families to create further clarity surrounding district technologies at school and home; please ensure that a parent or guardian is available to attend this learning opportunity with the student.
NOTE: please register your student for this class and indicate the name of the adult attending when prompted.
