Waltz is the quintessential ballroom dance; its flowing motion, graceful turns, and delicate control are beloved by newcomers and professionals alike. Spend a month learning Waltz figures, technique, and partner communication, starting with the most basic steps, and discover a gorgeous combination of strength and elegance that will have you hooked for life!
Partner dance is for everyone! Sign up solo or with a partner, and learn how to dance with Anne, a social and competitive ballroom dancer with eight years of teaching experience. This course is designed for beginners.

Anne is a ballroom dancer and choreographer with seven years of experience competing and teaching in Standard, Latin, Smooth, and Rhythm styles of dance. She first fell in love with ballroom as a newcomer to her college’s social ballroom club; the very next year she started teaching and hasn’t looked back. Anne has taught various community education courses in the Madison, WI metro area and has held leadership and coaching positions with her undergraduate and graduate collegiate teams. She currently competes in competitions across the United States and is a 2025 USA Dance adult amateur gold national finalist. Off the dance floor, Anne is an EHS alum, trumpet player, and writer.
