Join Julie Jao for a lot of rhythm, a little melody, a strike, a strum and a pluck! Beginning Clawhammer Banjo. Mommas and Poppas, Grandpas and grandmas, and musically inclined young'uns 14 and up are welcome to come learn the hottest banjo style! Clawhammer Banjo is fun and very accessible. Julie will teach you tunes, listening skills, jam etiquette, and some basic music theory. Build camaraderie among students and a love of playing n this fun and active class. Please bring a banjo (preferably open-back), a tuner and capo. Students can also bring a recording device or use their phone to record the lesson. Designed for students with little or no experience playing Banjo.You'll be playing songs around the campfire or in your living room for your family in no time.
