  • Valley View History Day Club with Lara Wark

Take part in National History Day! Each year, student research focuses on a historical theme. The theme this year is Triumph and Tragedy in History. Students select a topic from world, national or state history that relates to the topic, and work alone or with a group to create a website, documentary, performance, display or paper. Much of our meeting time will involve researching your topic using primary and secondary sources. Once student projects are complete, they will be presented to a panel of judges. A select number of projects will be chosen to represent Valley View at the regional History Day competition. Please note: For students who advance to regionals or state, nominal entry fees will apply (usually around $10 for regionals and $15 for state).  The leader for this club is Lara Wark and can be contacted at lara.wark@edinaschools.org
