  • Hornet Summer Band: Gr. 8-10

    Hornet Summer Band is open to band students entering grades 8 -10 in 2024. Experience the fun of learning new musical skills while refining the ones you already possess. Make new friends in your small ensemble groups, perform great concert and marching music, and march in the Edina 4th of July Parade. A required t-shirt is included in the tuition. Please indicate adult t-shirt size and instrument when registering. Co-directed by Geneva Fitzsimonds and Melody Snyder.
  • HS Summer Jazz Band: Gr. 10 & 11

    Summer Jazz will explore and perform a variety of familiar rock, jazz, and funk tunes. We’ll also spend time on soloing and guided listening to jazz legends. Come learn more about jazz and have fun at the same time. Open to all band students entering grades 10 and 11 in Fall 2024. Previous jazz experience is preferred, but not required. A concert will be held on the day of the final session (June 20). All Band instruments welcome! Piano players must be able to play two hands at the same time. Bass players must be able to read bass music. Rhythm section filled on a first come first served basis.

  • Young Summer Band: Gr. 6-7

    Young Summer Band is a continuation of the skills you’ve learned in 5th and 6th grade band, and an introduction to new ones. We will play fun large ensemble music which will help you improve individually. A t-shirt is included in the tuition—please indicate adult shirt size, specific instrument (i.e. Alto Sax) in the registration materials.
