    Are you registered for both morning and afternoon activities and want to stay over the lunch break? Why not join the MS Sandwich Society? Bring a bag lunch and a beverage. Students meet at the end of their morning camp to walk to the MS Sandwich Society location, and then are directed to their afternoon camps at the end. MS Sandwich Society will be supervised by the Community Ed Enrichment Rec Leaders.

    Swim Lessons: Level 4: Ages 8+

    Let's keep building our stroke development with our fourth level of swim lessons! This class is designed for the advanced swimmers who already have established good technique with the front crawl and elementary backstroke and wish to continue with new skills. Students will continue to refine their front crawl and backstroke technique while also beginning to establish technique with the breaststroke and side stroke. Students will also begin/continue to build skills in headfirst entries, surface dives, treading water, and survival swimming. Students do not need any special equipment--please do not send goggles. Students must be at least 8 years old, and must be able to stand in 3.5 ft of water with their mouth/nose out of the water.

    Swim Lessons: Level 3: Ages 8+

    Come jump on in and join us for stroke development in our third level of swim lessons! This class is designed for those swimmers who are fully independent in the water who are looking to work on their swim stroke development. We will spend our class time working on developing the front crawl and elementary backstroke, as well as starting skills in headfirst entries, treading water, and rotary breathing. Students must be able to independently float on their front and back, and swim using combined arm and leg action on front for five body lengths. Students do not need any special equipment--please do not send goggles or floaties. Students must be at least 8 years old, and must be able to stand in 3.5 ft of water with their mouth/nose out of the water.

    Learn all the basics and come get comfortable in the water with our first level of swim lessons, Guppies! We will spend our mornings talking to the fishes, working on keeping our bodies on top of the water, and learning all about our pizza arms, big scoopers, flutter kicks, and frog kicks! Students do not need any special equipment--please do not send goggles or floaties. This class is designed for beginners exploring water and swimming independently for the first time, no prior skills required. Students must be at least 5 years old, and must be able to stand in 3.5 ft of water with their mouth/nose out of the water.

Students do not need any special equipment--please do not send goggles or floaties.     Safe Sitter prepares students grades 4-8 to be safe when they are home alone, watching siblings or babysitting. Students learn safety, child care skills, diapering, behavior management, online and personal safety. First aid and rescue skills including injury management, choking rescue and infant/child CPR.

    Fitness can be an essential part of a student’s well being, and there is not one way to work out. This fitness camp will give students an opportunity to explore a variety of workouts. Camp will include kickboxing, yoga, strength training, cardio, and more. Students will learn the basics of warming up, exercising, cooling down, and they will try all kinds of workouts. There may even be some team workouts and games! Edina Community Ed “Unified” camps blend students with special needs and students who are more typically developing to explore art, theater, science, fitness and more.
