In Person: Hornet Track & Field Camp: Gr. K-5Sports, Health & FitnessThis camp is designed to teach kids track & field events and give them the opportunity to participate in a real track meet. Athletes will learn how to effectively warm up/cool down, stretch, and participate in plyometrics while becoming faster and stronger in their track & field events. Campers will be separated into similar age groups. Camp will conclude with an official track meet allowing campers to fully experience a typical “gameday” at a middle school and high school meet. In Person: Spring Break Pre-Season Track & Field Training: Gr. 7-8Sports, Health & FitnessTrack season is almost here! Come join the EHS Girls' JV Sprint Coach during spring break to get a head start on your fitness. Drills will focus on acceleration and deceleration, top-end speed and speed endurance, multi-directional movements . . . and everyone's favorite, push-ups. If you're joining one of Edina's middle school teams this spring, this camp is perfect for you! Camp will be held outside at Kuhlman Stadium if the weather is good and if the track is clear of snow. If not, parking lots, sidewalks and/or a fitness studio in the community center will be utilized. Specifics will be sent out as we get closer to spring break.Youth Winter/Spring 2021
