Middle School Orchestra Camp: Grades 6-9
Dust off your instrument and join your fellow Edina Orchestra members for a fun summer week of playing music, socializing and meeting special guest artists! We will perform a concert for family and friends on Friday, July 15 at 11:00 a.m. -
Art and Yoga: Gr. K-4
Join us in this exceptional camp that combines art and yoga. We'll have fun starting our day with yoga poses followed by amazing art projects where we'll draw, paint, collage, sculpt with clay and more. Each day we'll play yoga games, use breathing and mindfulness techniques and have a great time unleashing our creativity! -
How do you Doodle?: Gr. K-4
Get ready to go bananas! In this amazing camp you'll learn how to draw and doodle fun characters, cartoons, and special decorations to make your drawings unique. Adorable animals to funny food, dimensional letters and everything in between all part of this fantastic camp. Along the way we'll learn how to add stunning patterns and dangles to turn your doodles into your own special art style. At the beginning of the camp, you'll get your own sketch book. Super Simple Songs: Action Verbs: Ages 4-5
Life is full of action! You can JUMP, DANCE, STOP or GO. In this camp, teacher Joanna will lead campers through singing, crafting and enjoying free play. Songs will help kids learn about action verbs while engaging in large and small motor development. Join teacher Joanna and sing along to the tune of Summer! -
Ultimate Art Effects: Gr. K-4
In this amazing art camp, we bring art to the next level using special materials like glow in the dark paint, glitter, metallic paint and other unique materials to make our art stand out! Join us and have a blast as we create astonishing art that glows in the dark as well as awesome projects with a spark. This camp will surely light up your creativity! Great camp for siblings. Chess Camp: Tactics & Strategies: Gr. 3-5
This chess camp is for players that need the next level of challenge from their school club. Maybe you’re ready to “try” tournament play. Maybe you want to “improve” your tournament play. Standard chess and variations will be used to improve your skills. Participants should be interested in a deeper level of instruction beyond the basics. -
Summer Ballet Fundamentals I/II, session 2: Age 3-5

Summer Ballet Fundamentals II/III, Session 2: Age 5-7
Learn Basic, fundamental ballet movement and terminology through creative exercises. You will also develop age-appropriate motor skills and musicality (building on elements learned in Fundamentals I/II). Fundamentals I is not a required prerequisite: new and returning students are welcome -
Summer Ballet Fundamentals Pre-Teen/Teen, Session 2: Age 8-14
Many students use dance and ballet to have fun, cross-train and improve their physical skills. This class is geared to Pre-Teens, Teenagers, athletes and more. Dancers are not the only ones doing Ballet. We all need stretching, flexibility, strength and footwork in our sport and life. Ballet technique and individual help is provided in the class. -
Ultimate Painting Camp!: Gr. K-4
It's time to roll our sleeves and have fun creating with color! Explore your creativity painting awesome masterpieces while using many types of painting techniques like tempera paint on canvas, creating multimedia art, exploring watercolors and much more. We'll have a blast as we make all sorts of fun projects while mixing colors to bring our creations to life. Bring a beverage, nut free snack and recess attire. -
State Fair Art Prep: Grades K-5
The Great Minnesota Get-Together is just around the corner, and we want YOU to come make some state-fair worthy art! Come join us for a week of arts, crafts, and activities that are focused on creating pieces to showcase at the Minnesota State Fair! All students have the option to submit their pieces to the state fair, and our instructor will take care of taking the projects to the fair to be submitted. So come join us for some fun times making art! -
The Power of Anime Art: Gr. 6+
Young Rembrandts is like having an art studio in your school. In fact, most of our instructors are real artists and trained to teach in a school environment. Our lessons follow a very detailed plan meant to focus on developing the skills of your child. We work with dry and mess-free media. Masters in Clay: Gr. K-3
Be inspired by art created by Vincent Van Gogh, Claude Monet, Edward Munch and Claes Oldenburg. We will recreate famous works of art like Monet’s Water Lilies, Munch’s The Scream, Oldenburg’s Spoonbridge and Cherry and many others, all in clay. Make room to display these masterpieces! The projects your child creates in this camp are going to be amazing! Please pack a nut free snack and drink for your child each day. -
Little Makers: Stories and Crafts: Ages 4 & 5
When little minds are engaged through stories and little hands are inspired to make- there is magic! Let your children experience magic this summer at our Little Makers camps. Led by a team from Edina's Early Learning Center, your preschooler will be led through a wonderful week of stories and crafts. Young learners will be flexing their social and emotional muscles as they make new friends and experience a class room environment. This is a not-to-be-missed experience for your 4 or 5 year-old -
Project Knit: Gr. 6+
Hats, scarfs, blankets and more! Keep yourself warm this year by learning to make your own hat, scarf or blanket. Students will learn basic skills in beginning knitting and crocheting to create a basic project. Tools and materials for knitting will be provided. -
Encanto Musical Theater Camp: Ages 4-8
If you could choose to have any amazing ability, what would it be? Let’s all put our special gifts into a story! We will learn music and choreography from Encanto and create our own musical! Everyone will learn how to put together a professional show from start to finish. Learn how to properly speak your lines, block a scene, develop your character and much more! We will also play fun creative games. No experience necessary. All that is needed are comfortable clothing and lightweight sneakers or dance shoes. Friends and family are invited to a special performance beginning the final 30 minutes of the final class! -

Back by popular demand, come take your place in the limelight in this immersive, all-inclusive theater week! Students of all abilities will work together to create a moving piece of performance art. Edina Community Ed “Unified” camps blend students with special needs and students who are more typically developing to explore art, theater, science, fitness and more. Our goal is to create a community of individuals, both with and without disabilities, devoted to awareness, advocacy, leadership and empathy through authentic relationship-building experiences. -

Sing 2 Musical Theater Camp: Ages 7-12
You and your friends want to put on a show in glamorous Redshore City! Let’s work together to make that happen! We will learn music and choreography from Sing 2 and create our own musical! Everyone will learn how to put together a professional show from start to finish. Learn how to properly speak your lines, block a scene, develop your character and much more! We will also play fun creative games! No experience necessary. All that is needed are comfortable clothing and lightweight sneakers or dance shoes. Friends and family are invited to a special performance beginning the final 30 minutes of the final class. -
Beginning Orchestra: Gr. 5
This class is open to all beginning string players going into fifth grade this fall who have not yet taken lessons. Violin, Viola, Cello, and Bass are the instruments offered. Your instrument, lesson book (Essential Elements for Strings: Book 1), and 3-ring binder are required for participation in the class. *Students should drop off their instrument at the class location on the Friday before class begins. This will allow Mrs. Darby time to tune and tape instruments before the first class. This is a great way to get a head start on playing your instrument!
