Dyslexia is identified as a neurobiological learning disorder. Dyslexia is characterized by "difficulties with accurate and/or fluent word recognition and by poor spelling and decoding abilities" as defined by the International Dyslexia Association. Edina Public Schools (EPS) takes the topic of literacy for all students very seriously. With that in mind, some students may experience a learning challenge in the area of reading. Edina Public Schools is hosting a series of forums related to dyslexia. The goal is to partner with the community to share and learn together. We all think differently when under stress, but children and adolescents with dyslexia are particularly vulnerable. Find out ways they can de-stress.
