    For the past nineteen years Futura Language Professionals has partnered with schools like yours to offer an affordable, convenient and comprehensive Ten-Level Spanish program. Each year your child will graduate and move into a new level of Spanish. Our unique Building Block Method of Learning® is a dynamic, conversation-based methodology that strives to mimic first language acquisition with speaking introduced first, followed by grammar instruction after Level III. Students will start understanding instructions from the teacher from the very first class! After graduating from our 10-level program, students can read and write in Spanish, understand complex grammatical concepts as well as form complex sentence structures. Children who finish this program have a strong advantage entering middle school or high school Spanish classes. Level one class applicable to participants with little or no Spanish exposure.
  • Online: Discover Magic Blue Wand: Gr. 3-6

    Get ready to take an amazing adventure into the exciting world of magic. Learn how to how to move objects with your mind, escape from chains, and operate a time machine just to name a few. In this course students will learn the different types of magic from dinner table tricks to the big stage illusions and they will discover the real secrets to becoming a true magician as each lesson reveals an important life skill to help build their confidence and communication skills. Each lesson comes with a custom magic prop, a top-secret file folder, and a secret word to unlock bonus videos in the online video vault. This life-changing program builds self-confidence and develops critical communication skills in a fun and unique way that is guaranteed to unlock your child’s potential. The entire course is taught online using Zoom, high-speed Internet access is required to participate in the course. All materials are provided and will be shipped to students.
  • Online Driver's Education: Classroom Instruction & Behind the Wheel: Ages 14.5-18

    Safeway Driving School is offering driver’s education through distance learning. This course covers 30 hours of classroom training and 6 hours of behind-the-wheel lessons. The State requires that the distance learning be conducted in a face-to-face platform, which requires that students have a video camera and audio capabilities on their devices. Safeway has chosen a secure Zoom platform to conduct the class. Students will be required to be in front of the camera and be interactive for the full three-hour class. Safeway will be emailing the classroom handouts and 2020 MN Driver’s Manual in pdf format for printing, or you can pick up the materials through Edina Community Ed. Materials pick up will occur the Thursday and Friday before class starts. You will receive an email the week before class with the pick up details. Safeway will be emailing the class link and handouts the Friday before class starts. The behind-the-wheel training will be scheduled through Safeway after the student has completed the classroom training and passed the permit test. It consists of six hours of one-on-one private instruction with a responsible, professional driving instructor. Lessons are two hour sessions and include pick-up and drop-off from home, work or school. Training is done on actual city streets and highways. For this online course, blue cards will be mailed out when all lessons are completed. Parents/guardians will be required to complete Safeway’s Account Verification. Safeway will be sending out an email before class begins that gives detailed information about how to login to the student’s Safeway account to verify and complete contact information and to review and acknowledge their Service Agreement.   • Online Comprehensive ACT Prep Course for the December Exam: Gr. 9-12

    ACT scores matter! They play a vital role in college admissions as well as scholarship opportunities. The Comprehensive ACT Prep Course reviews all subjects of the ACT: English, Mathematics, Reading, Science and Writing. Modified pre-testing occurs in each subject at the beginning of the course, and previously administered ACT tests are part of the curriculum along with supplemental material to build on content and strategies. This course is especially perfect for students who are preparing for the December ACT test. This class is held online and a meeting link will be sent to you in your confirmation email. Classes will be recorded for any missed days. Course Breakdown: 2:00 - 4:00pm | Math and Science 4:00 - 4:30pm | Break 4:30 - 6:30pm | English, Reading and Writing Materials pick up will be on Thursday 11/5 and Friday 11/6 at the Edina Community Center.
