This course covers 30 hours of classroom training, and 6 hours of behind-the-wheel lessons. Miss a class? No problem. Each lesson is independent and can be taken in any order. If a lesson is missed, a student can make it up when it is convenient for them and finish at their own pace. Students must contact Safeway directly for make up sessions.
The behind-the-wheel training will be scheduled with Safeway after the student has completed the classroom training and passed the permit test. It consists of six hours of one-on-one private instruction with a responsible, professional driving instructor. Lessons are two-hour sessions and include pick-up and drop-off from home, work or school. Training is done on actual city streets and highways.
