Get into the Groove as we learn hip hop steps and dances to today's most popular music. The students will also learn warm-ups such as stretching, isolations and across the floor exercises. This class is not only fun but will improve posture, strength and flexibility in a positive and self-esteem building atmosphere. Dance is proven to not only build strong bodies but strong minds and self-esteem as well! All that is needed are comfortable clothing and lightweight sneakers or dance shoes, a nut free snack and a water bottle. Friends and family are invited to observe the final 15 minutes of the final class.
The belief of Mayer Arts about teaching is not only providing training for those who are serious about learning but also to just have fun! We teach proper technique, terminology, body awareness, and an appreciation for the arts. Our goal is that students will not only find a love for the arts but also build healthy habits and self-esteem. Skills that will be helpful to them for the rest of their lives!
