Hone your craft with conservatory style acting training! This class is designed for high school students entering 9th grade through those who have just completed 12th grade. Our work will include learning different acting methods and approaches, voice and body work, scene work, monologues, and audition techniques.
Jane Froiland is a Twin Cities based actor, director, and teaching artist. As an actor, Jane has performed on many stages, including The Guthrie, Children's Theatre, Park Square Theatre, Theatre Latte Da, The Jungle Theatre, Ten Thousand Things, Old Log Theatre, Mixed Blood Theatre, Pillsbury House Theatre, Yellow Tree Theatre, and many more.
She has received multiple awards including two Ivey Awards, A Best Performance in a Drama Award from Lavender Magazine, and a Best Performance Award from the Twin Cities Theatre Bloggers. Her work has also appeared on many year end "Best of" lists.
In addition to her stage work, Jane has extensive film and television experience including television episodes currently available on Netflix and Hulu.
As a teaching artist, she has taught workshops, camps, residencies, and master classes all over the State, collaborating with Spotlight Education, Steppingstone Theatre, Lakeshore Players, Youth Performance Company, Upstream Arts, and many more.
Jane serves as the Director of Edina High School's Theatre for All program, and directs their Musical and One Act.
