But did you know there are countless ways to meditate, beyond just sitting still? This course introduces you to an array of techniques—seated, standing, moving, even journaling—designed to suit your unique lifestyle and preferences.

Over the span of the course, you’ll gain practical tools to build a sustainable, self-guided meditation practice. Each session combines engaging lessons on various approaches with a guided practice, making it ideal for beginners and those looking to deepen their experience.

Step out of the classroom equipped to infuse mindfulness into your everyday life, one moment at a time. Whether you're seeking calm, clarity, or connection, this course is your starting point.

What to bring: A yoga blanket and water bottle.

Scott Stafford

Scott Stafford is a dancer, choreographer, and teaching artist. His path first intersected with the teachings of tai chi / qigong in 2013 while attending the American Dance Festival at Duke University. He began studying qigong under Birgit Kraus in 2017, and would later pursue a 200-hr Daoist Flow Teacher Training - a practice which combines yoga, somatics, and qigong - in London, U.K. under Mimi Kuo Deemer, Jean Hall, and James Rafael. Additional study includes Paul Wenninger (Tai Ki) and Cary Hakam (Yang Style Taiji).

Scott's influences in teaching include the 8 Silk Brocades, 18 Tai Chi Qigong Forms, 5 Animal Frolics, Yang Style Taiji, Spring Forest Qigong, and 5 Element Forms. His pedagogy is rooted in Daoist principles flow, rhythm, and harmony with the natural world.
