Youth Woodshop: Home Tweet Home! Crafting Your Own Birdhouse Bungalow: Gr. 6-12

Youth / Art, Theater, Music & Creativity -
Youth Summer 2025

Make a custom cedar bird house while learning hand and power tools useful for many woodworking projects. Saws, drills, and hammering technique will be covered.

This class is taught by local creators Alo Osberg and Andrew Young as a part of our Summer Artist in Residence Program.

Summer Artist in Residence Program

Immerse yourself in creativity this summer! Our Artist in Residence Program is a vibrant initiative designed to connect community members with local makers, artists, and performers, fostering meaningful interactions that celebrate the arts and engage with the creative process up close.

This program also offers kids a unique opportunity to delve deeply into the arts, exploring their creativity through hands-on experiences guided by professional artists. From woodworking to music and theater, kids will discover new passions and hone their talents in a supportive and inspiring environment.

Join us for a summer of connection, creativity, and discovery as we build bridges between artists and the community while nurturing the next generation of creative thinkers!

Andrew Young (he/they) is a Taiwanese-Indonesian-American artist and educator. Andrew has taught for COMPAS, Mia, Urban Boatbuilders, and In the Heart of the Beast. He loves working with wood and introducing others to the craft.
