Supporting Social-Emotional Growth: Milestones, Mental Health, and Practical Strategies for Parents

Adult / Lifelong Learning -
Adult Fall 2025

This course is designed to help parents and caregivers understand the critical role that social-emotional development plays in the well-being of children from early childhood through adolescence.

Participants will explore the developmental milestones that children typically achieve as they grow and how these milestones relate to emotional regulation, relationships, and overall mental health. By the end of this course, parents will be equipped with practical tools to support their children’s emotional growth, strengthen parent-child relationships, and recognize when professional help may be needed.
