Edina Community Ed

Do you want to start learning French from the beginning by using a textbook? This class is for you if you have never studied French before, and prefer the structure of a textbook in a class with an Alliance Française instructor. We use the Cosmopolite 1 textbook which is available for purchase.

At the end of this course, you will be able to… 

• Greet someone and say goodbye. 
• Count to 100. 
• Introduce yourself and give personal information. 
• Use the verbs avoir and être. 
• Spell in French. 
• Use definite articles like le, la, les, l' and indefinite articles like un, une, des. 
• Talk about the days of the week and the months of the year. 
• Ask for information using qui, où, pourquoi. 
• Use possesive articles mon, ma, mes, votre, vos.
