Open Sewing Open Crafting Studio with Kim Poncius
Open Sewing/Open Crafting like our Open Woodshop only you're in the Makers Space. Open - Free time in the Makerspace to utilize the sewing machines and tables to work on craft projects that you bring. You can use it as a time to work on those projects you started but didn't finish! You can feel free to work on any craft that is conducive in an indoor setting with flat tables; yarn crafts, fabric crafts, jewelry making, paper crafts etc. Bring your sewing and craft projects and creativity to our Makers Space! Whether you're working on jewelry making, stamping, garment, quilt, bag, or something totally unique, this open studio session offers the perfect environment to make progress. Our expert instructor, Kim Poncius, will be on hand to offer guidance, troubleshoot tricky techniques, and help you cross the finish line. All skill levels are welcome—just bring your project, your materials, and your enthusiasm! Can't make it at the start time? No worries, show up when you are ready! This class is open to anyone age 13 and over who is accompanied by an adult.
What to Bring: Your sewing or craft project, fabric, notions, and any personal tools you like to use. Bring your own nonalcoholic beverage and snacks since the class is in the evening. We provide sewing machines basic tools and a collaborative workspace.
