Whether your mind drifts toward epic adventures, emotional stories, or the perfect beat drop, this hands-on course will help you turn your ideas into moving images. In this 6-week workshop, students will dive into the art of visual storytelling utilizing readily available tools like cell phones and free editing software as they learn how to shape emotion, rhythm, and meaning through the lens of a camera. In our 6 weeks together, we will explore: - Camera basics: framing, movement, and composition - Storyboarding and visual planning - Directing and working with performers - Editing essentials: rhythm, pacing, and emotion - Writing short scripts or choosing a song and developing a concept - Basic scene blocking - Shooting and editing a short film/music video - Screening our projects and receiving feedback Whether you're a budding director, a music lover with a visual imagination, or just curious about how movies and music videos come together—this course is designed to spark creativity and build confidence through hands-on filmmaking.
