Discover the art of making soft, flaky, and flavorful Indian flatbreads in this hands on cooking class! From everyday staples to festive favorites, you’ll learn to create a variety of breads that pair perfectly with curries, dals, and other Indian dishes.

Riku and Namrata will teach you to make:  

  • Naan: Soft, leavened bread cooked to perfection with optional garlic butter. 
  • Stuffed Parathas: Delicious whole wheat flatbreads filled with spiced potatoes (Aloo Paratha) and paneer (Paneer Paratha). 
  • Laccha Paratha: A flaky, multi-layered bread that’s as fun to make as it is to eat.

Learn essential techniques like kneading, rolling, and cooking on a skillet or tawa, plus tips to achieve authentic textures and flavors. Whether you're new to bread-making or a seasoned cook, this class will equip you with the skills to recreate these beloved breads at home. Join us for a flavorful journey through the world of Indian flatbreads—you’ll leave with confidence and recipes that are sure to impress!

Riku and Namrata Savor

Namrata and Riku’s culinary journey began in their family kitchens, where they mastered traditional techniques and recipes passed down through generations. They both have a passion for exploring and cooking a wide range of dishes from global cuisines. Recently retired from long corporate careers in Finance and IT, they are now dedicating their time to teaching others how to prepare authentic Indian cuisine and vegetarian dishes from around the world. With over 35 years of experience, they focus on helping people incorporate wholesome, vegetarian dishes into their diets while highlighting the nutritional benefits of various spices and ingredients.


Their warm and approachable teaching style makes their classes enjoyable for both beginners and experienced cooks. Whether you're mastering traditional Indian dishes, exploring flavors from around the world, or learning to create healthy and flavorful meals, Namrata and Riku will guide you every step of the way.
