Join us for our woodshop skill-building week!
In this course we will be making one custom wood frame for a picture or print! Students will be using walnut or oak 1x2’s put together with glue and corner splines with recesses to receive glass. Glass will be cut to size in class! There will be plenty of room to add personal touches in how students choose to design, shape, and finish their frame. We will be focusing on one highly crafted frame smaller than 12”x18”. Students must bring the print or photo that they want to build a frame for to ensure correct sizing.
Take what you learn here and experiment with other wood species, larger artwork to frame, and different customizations. This is an intermediate woodworking class for first-time frame makers.
