HORNET TENNIS CAMP'S goal is to provide high-quality instruction in a fun atmosphere primarily for novice and intermediate tennis players. Current and former Edina High School players work with campers in a positive, encouraging and fun manner. Camp is designed to teach fundamentals, rules and etiquette through fun drills and contests while promoting good sportsmanship and kindness to others. HORNET FLAG FOOTBALL CAMP focuses on the player's development by improving speed and agility while teaching fundamental position-specific skills. Improve skill development and learn rules of the game all through an enthusiastic, positive approach. Participate in engaging, fun drills and then take that learning to the field playing flag football games. Current and former Edina High School football players, girls flag football players as well as other EHS athletes will serve as coaches. Campers will be separated into similar age groups and will learn how to effectively warm up/cool down, stretch, and participate in plyometrics while becoming faster and stronger in track & field events. Camp will conclude with an official track meet allowing campers to fully experience a typical “gameday” at a middle school and high school meet.
