In Person: Hornet Tennis Camp: Gr. K-5
Hornet Tennis Camp's goal is to provide high-quality instruction in a fun atmosphere primarily for novice and intermediate tennis players. Current and former Edina High School players work with campers in a positive, encouraging and fun manner. Camp is designed to teach fundamentals, rules and etiquette through fun drills and contests while promoting good sportsmanship and kindness to others. Our camp format maintains a low ratio of 3-6 campers per court/coach to promote a personalized experience. The extended camp time also allows for match play. In Person: Mini Ninja & Game on Tag: Ages 4-6
Mini Ninja will give participants an opportunity to have fun testing their skills and abilities while going through various obstacles: tunnel crawl, cones weave, noodles crawl, mat rolls, parachute run, fitness ladders, hula hoop jump and hurdles. There will be a different course set-up each day. Who will be Ninja Warrior of the day? Game on Tag will introduce campers to all their favorite playground games: Ships Across the Ocean, Animal Tag, Freeze Tag, Red Light-Green Light, Kickball, Capture the Flag, Duck-Duck-Grey Duck, Dodgeball (with soft sponge balls), 500, Sharks and Minnows, Simon Says, Steal the Bacon and Castle Ball. These fun activities will help your child develop coordination and flexibility, and they are beneficial for each child’s physical and mental development. Camp staff are trained to meet the needs of young children. Youth to staff ratio is 8:1. All equipment will be provided. -
In Person: Edina Boys' Basketball Skills Camp: Gr. K-1
This camp is a unique instructional camp for basketball players who are entering grades K-1. A low coach-to-player ratio provides advanced and beginner players a place to practice the step-by-step and repetitive techniques that will build individual basketball skills. The camp is directed and coached by Joe Burger, the Edina Boys' Head Basketball Coach, EHS assistant coaches, Brian Jungwirth and Mike Landers, as well as numerous past and present Hornet varsity basketball players. -
In Person: Girls’ Basketball Shooting & Offensive Skills Clinics: Gr. 4-8
Join for fun and basketball with the Edina Varsity Girls’ Basketball coaches and current high school players! Participants will improve basketball skills in a positive, high energy environment. Each day includes coaching on fundamental skill work along with fun games. -
In Person: SNAG Golf: Gr. K-5
Kids learn the fundamentals of grip, stance, swing, ball contact, putting, chipping and driving, and will be divided by age and skill level. Skyhawks uses SNAG (Starting New At Golf) equipment which involves golf clubs with over-sized composite plastic heads and (tennis size) velcro golf balls to help kids develop the skills of hitting the ball. This special equipment is specifically designed for the entry level player. No prior golf experience is necessary. All equipment is provided. -
In Person: Pre-Teen/Teen Beginning Ballet: Ages 8-14
The traditional ballet format of barre and center work is emphasized with proper alignment, technique, musicality, and artistry. The instructor will work with the students at the beginning or end of the class on vocabulary along with ways they can work on flexibility and strength at home during the week. Ballet classes are a great way to gain strength and flexibility, improve posture and balance, and reduce stress in a noncompetitive atmosphere. This class is open to students who are new to ballet, have some experience, or returning students. Students must meet the age requirements and/or get permission from the instructor. -
In Person: Beginner Gymnastics: Ages 8+
The focus of this class will be on learning and perfecting basic gymnastics skills (cartwheels, handstands, walkovers) and learn new skills (handsprings, tucks, etc). Returning gymnasts will continue with their progression and begin to focus on routines and putting skills together. Gymnasts must have had some prior training in the sport. -
In Person: Intermediate/Advanced Gymnastics: Ages 8+
The focus of this intermediate/advanced level class will be on learning proper techniques of advanced level skills such as back walkovers/back handsprings on beam, twisting on floor, twisting vaults, kips/clear hips & releases on bars, etc. Gymnasts will also be able to choreograph routines and receive additional training on skills they are currently working on for their competitive teams. Intermediate/advanced level gymnastics experience is required for this class. -

In Person: Intermediate Diving: Ages 9+
If you already have some diving experience, you can develop your skills in this class. Prerequisites: Must be at least nine years old (or recommended by instructor) and able to do dives in three different directions (front, back, reverse, inward, or twisting). **Please note: Due to health regulations, only participants and coaches will be allowed in the swimming area. No gallery observations will be allowed.** -
In Person: Hornet Track & Field Camp: Gr. K-5
This camp is designed to teach kids track & field events and give them the opportunity to participate in a real track meet. Athletes will learn how to effectively warm up/cool down, stretch, and participate in plyometrics while becoming faster and stronger in their track & field events. Campers will be separated into similar age groups. Camp will conclude with an official track meet allowing campers to fully experience a typical “gameday” at a middle school and high school meet. In Person: Flag Football: Gr. 6-9
Designed for beginner and intermediate players, this camp focuses on all things flag football- passing, catching and defense. Athletes will practice their skills throughout the week with a variety of skill-based games, daily scrimmages and fun football challenges! Athletes will be divided by age/skill level. Boys and girls are welcome! -
In Person: Olympics Camp: Gr. K-5
Let the Games begin! The summer Olympics are coming to Edina Community Ed! The sports will be modified for elementary kids and will include the javelin noodle throw, noodle fencing, fun relay races, sprinting, soccer, handball and more. Join us and see which country will win the Games! -
In Person: Spy Academy: Gr. K-5
Your mission– if you choose to accept it– is to become the latest recruit at Spy Academy. In order to graduate, campers will have to break codes, create secret messages, undergo field training, and prove themselves worthy of the title of SPY. By working individually and in groups, campers will have to use their thinking caps as well as tap into their agility skills. This camp introduces the young athlete to the sport of baseball through skill development and small group games. Staff will focus on helping the children learn the rules of baseball while working on team play and sportsmanship. Individual skills taught: throwing, catching, hitting, base running and fielding. Children will be divided by age and skill level. Staff to camper ratio is 8:1. Please bring a baseball glove, filled water bottles, sunscreen and a great attitude! -

In Person: Soccer: Gr. K-5
Designed for beginner and intermediate players, this camp focuses on dribbling, passing, shooting and ball control. Using a variety of skill based games, athletes are able to practice skills constantly over the course of the week, while having FUN! Participants will put all of their newly learned skills to use during our World Cup skills challenge, which is the last day of camp. Participants should bring appropriate clothing, two filled water bottles, sunscreen and hand sanitizer. -

In this parent participation class we use a variety of fun games to develop balance, movement, and baseball skills as well as listening to instructions. Very active and fun! Bring a glove. Bats and balls provided. -

In Person: Mini-Sport: Ages 4-6
Mini-Sport helps children explore baseball, soccer, lacrosse and flag football in a fun and non-competitive setting. No pressure, just lots of fun! Our Mini-Sport staff are trained to meet the needs of young children and are committed to helping the young athletes start off on the right foot, as they take their first steps into sports. Staff to camper ratio is 8:1. Please bring a baseball glove, shin guards for soccer (recommended), tennis shoes or soccer shoes (no metal spikes), filled water bottles and sunscreen. -

This cheerleading camp teaches the essential skills to lead crowds and support the home team! There is no stunting in this entry level program—just a big focus on fun while each cheerleader learns proper hand & body movements, cheers and jumping techniques. Participants should bring appropriate clothing, two filled water bottles, sunscreen and hand sanitizer. -
