Online: Private ACT Tutoring for the July Exam: Gr. 10-12Expand Your World & EnrichmentPrivate ACT Tutoring provides 1-on-1 review and instruction tailored to an individual student's needs. Instructors expert in their respective fields handle the different subject areas of the ACT. Subjects for the ACT are: English, Math, Reading, Science or Writing. Tutoring sessions generally start 4-6 weeks prior to the exam date. You have four options for registration: 1 Subject (4 one-hour tutoring sessions in 1 subject) 2 Subjects (8 sessions) 3 Subjects (12 sessions) 4 Subjects (16 sessions) Deciding on the number of ACT Private Tutoring sessions is based upon many factors. We recommend to most of our families to sign up for 4 subjects/16 sessions (4 sessions in each subject) to maximize potential to achieve a student's goal. If your student has taken the Comprehensive Prep Course with us, or is very strong in a specific subject (high 30’s), then all subject areas may not need to be addressed. After your registration is completed with Edina Community Ed, you will receive a confirmation email. Inside you'll be asked to fill out a form with more information. After this is completed, you will be contacted via email to set up your child's tutoring sessions.Youth Summer 2021

Hybrid: Summer Camp Enterprise: Gr. 8-10Expand Your World & EnrichmentFun and imagination are the keys to innovation and creativity in life and in business. Register now to participate in a fun role playing educational activity! Students entering Grades 8-10 will learn about business and our free enterprise system in Summer Camp Enterprise. The fictitious National Lemon Growers Association is looking for innovative ways to promote lemons and lemonade stands in communities across the country. They are looking for help from YOU, an aspiring entrepreneur! Working in teams, you will design a program to promote lemons and lemonade stands. You will learn how to develop a business plan and important marketing concepts, such as identifying the target market for a product or service and how to promote it, and how to carry out the plan. Mentors with real-life experience will be on hand to guide your team through the process. Though the adults will share their business know-how, each team will be driven by their imagination and creativity. The program will conclude with your team making a presentation to a pretend panel from the National Lemon Growers Association seeking to select which team or teams will be hired as interns to roll out their plan to recruit, train and encourage other kids to operate their own lemonade stands. While no actual internships will be awarded, prizes will be awarded to teams based on their plans and presentations. This hybrid camp will feature both virtual and in-person work. Summer Camp Enterprise is offered by members of the Rotary Club of Edina and Rotary Club of Edina Morningside, in partnership with Edina Community Education.Youth Summer 2021
