    Hornet Girls Basketball Camp Session II. - For girls in grades 3-8. Hornet Skills camp give kids instruction and development from Edina High School girl's basketball coach Dre Jefferson. Kids will work to improve fundamentals of shooting, ball handling defense and more. Part of fundamentals is FUN and kids can expect to have fun, earn prizes, enjoying the week!
  • Ultimate Frisbee: Gr. 6-8

    Combining the non-stop movement and athletic endurance of soccer with the aerial passing skills of football, a game of Ultimate is played by two, seven-player squads with a high-tech plastic disc on a field similar to football. The object of the game is to score by catching a pass in the opponent's end zone. Ultimate is the fastest growing sport on high school and college campuses. Sports Unlimited Camps provide fundamental skill development for boys and girls ages 8-14 with the emphasis on FUN! This camp is designed to introduce your athlete to the sport of Ultimate Frisbee through skill development and small group games. Sports Unlimited staff will focus on helping children learn the rules of Ultimate Frisbee while working on team play and sportsmanship. Each day will be devoted to Ultimate instruction, drills, practices and games! Please bring shin guards, water bottle, sunscreen, snack, and a great attitude!

    DASH Sports Summer Multi-Sport camp includes fun skills training and games in three sports: Soccer, Flag Football, and Baseball. Key sports skills will be taught and practiced in all 3 sports so athletes will come out of camp with a great understanding of key skill components and gameplay of each sport. Camp ends with games/scrimmages the final day for each sport, where athletes can showcase their skills. Campers should wear athletic clothing/shoes and sunscreen. Bring a water bottle, snack, and a baseball glove. This is a great camp that produces well rounded athletes. Balls and other equipment are all provided.

    Recreational gymnastics geared towards students grades 2-10. Participants will work on perfecting basic gymnastics skills (cartwheels, handstands, walkovers) and learning new skills (handsprings, tucks, etc). Returning gymnasts will continue with their progression, and will begin to focus on routines and putting skills together.
  • Learn to Fish at Lake Normandale Grades 4-9

    Get ready for a crash course of fishing in Minnesota with plenty of hands-on experience! In this class we will be learning all about fishing laws, etiquette, species, knots, pole/reel setup, casting, bait, and targeting certain fish. We will then practice our new skills while we're at the lake. That's correct... I said at the lake! This class will take place at Valley View Middle School the first day, but the following days will all take place at Lake Normandale in Bloomington. This lake is roughly 3 miles away, and is known to be great for sunfish, bass, pike, and carp fishing. No supplies, previous knowledge, or fishing licenses required. Please have your child bring: Sunscreen, a water bottle, a nut free snack, and a hat (optional). The instructor will provide: The poles, tackle, and bait. This is a beginner course designed to teach your children how to set up their own poles, and fish without assistance moving forward. Join us for some outdoor fun as we connect with nature, and discover what it takes to fish Minnesota.     The starting date is 7/7, please note there are two separate sessions, the Skills session and the League. The skills session runs from 9:00am to 10:30am and the League runs from 10:30am to 12:00pm. If your child is signed up for both they are allowed to stay during the break. If you only sign up for one program participants will need to be picked up at the end of their session. Skills session This 90 minute skills session will be led by current and former college and professional basketball players. Skills include shooting off the catch, shooting off the dribble, ball handling, finishing around the rim, passing, defensive breakdowns, and more! Summer League The second 90 minutes of the day will be designed specifically for 5 on 5 play. Each player will get put on a team with a coach and will play 12 minute 5 on 5 games. Will be a great way for kids to compete in a tournament style. Will have weekly winner/prizes at the end of each week Please note: For classes week of 7/7, registration closes on 7/2 due to district closures 7/4 and 7/5 in recognition of Independence Day.
