You'll receive this information after you've registered for the class** You will work one on one with an experienced vocal coach and piano teacher who has taught for over 30 years. Whether you’re new to music or have taken lessons in the past, together you will design a plan that will build from the ground up or off your current musical knowledge with engaging and fun techniques. This course will address basic skills, music theory and musicality that will allow you to progress toward your musical goals and lifelong enjoyment of music. Purchase of books recommended by your teacher will be required for lessons based on individual needs.

  • Young Summer Band: Gr. 6-7

    Young Summer Band is a continuation of the skills you’ve learned in 5th and 6th grade band, and an introduction to new ones. We will play fun large ensemble music which will help you improve individually. A t-shirt is included in the tuition—please indicate adult shirt size, specific instrument (i.e. Alto Sax), and grade entering in Fall 2025 in the registration materials. A concert will be held on the day of the final session. Directed by Dr. Charles Weise & Mr. Chris Gumz
  • Y.K. Summer Jazz Band: Gr. 7-8

    Summer Jazz will explore and perform a variety of familiar rock, jazz, and funk tunes. Open to all band students entering grade 7 and 8 in Fall 2025. Previous jazz experience is preferred, but not required. A concert will be held on the day of the final session All Band instruments welcome! Piano players must be able to play two hands at the same time. Bass players must be able to read bass music. Rhythm section filled on a first come first served basis.
