**Registration price is for four 30-minute lessons. Participants will have to reach out to the instructor via email to schedule the lessons. Contact information for the instructor will be sent in the confirmation notes to arrange specific lesson dates/times. You'll receive this information after you've registered for the class** You will work one on one with an experienced vocal coach and piano teacher who has taught for over 30 years. Whether you’re new to music or have taken lessons in the past, together you will design a plan that will build from the ground up or off your current musical knowledge with engaging and fun techniques. This course will address basic skills, music theory and musicality that will allow you to progress toward your musical goals and lifelong enjoyment of music. Purchase of books recommended by your teacher will be required for lessons based on individual needs.

Every lesson includes repertoire, technique, and music theory. Students are encouraged to participate in a recital each quarter.

Join Creek Valley music teacher, Carah Hart, to sing varied repertoire, develop singing technique, and have fun in a community of 3rd-5th graders. We will perform in a concert at the end of the session and have optional engagements to sing the National Anthem at sporting events in the Twin Cities. Join Highlands Music Teacher, Katie Widen, to extend the singing, dancing, instrument playing and musical literacy that is fostered in the Edina K-2 music curriculum. Rehearse exciting pieces of music with your friends and perform in a culminating combined concert on the last day of the session with the Concord Choir! During your time in Concord Junior Choir, you will improve singing skills, grow musically and have fun! On Wednesday, November 19th (the last day of programming) both Concord Jr. Choir AND Concord Choir will perform a concert for parents, families and friends to attend! Beginners filmmaking and Music Video A 6-Week Creative Workshop for High School Storytellers & Music Lovers Instructor: Professional writer/director and Director of Photography for Emmy nominated and Gracie award winning PBS series STAGE, Mercies May. Do you see the world in scenes and soundtracks? Ever imagined a moment so vivid it felt like it belonged in a movie—or a music video? Whether your mind drifts toward epic adventures, emotional stories, or the perfect beat drop, this hands-on course will help you turn your ideas into moving images. In this 6-week workshop, students will dive into the art of visual storytelling utilizing readily available tools like cell phones and free editing software as they learn how to shape emotion, rhythm, and meaning through the lens of a camera. Whether you're drawn to dramatic narratives or the pulse of music videos, you'll explore the tools filmmakers use to bring their visions to life—from planning storyboarding and shot composition to directing and editing their own project. Create handmade clay beads and charms to be used in your own unique jewelry pieces including key chains, bracelets, necklaces, and more! Over this 5-day class, students will be creating their own unique functional and wearable artworks. With the guidance and inspiration of Normandale Elementary' s licensed and experienced art specialist, Mme Leanne French-Amara, students will be using polymer and kiln-fired clay to create their own handmade beads and charms. After creating these original pieces, students will use their own creations in multiple jewelry items. Mme French-Amara has been an art specialist for almost 30 years, 16 of those years at Normandale Elementary School. She has also been a jewelry and craft creator since she was in elementary school! Join Mrs. Erickson in a clay exploration class where students get to use their creative brain to create a sculpture of their choice. We will begin by sketching our idea and then use our problem solving skills to make our idea come to life. We will complete our work by glazing or painting our sculptures at the end.
