  • Code Championship | Virtual Computer Coding Competition: Gr. 3-9

    Build a computer bot to compete against other coders! Whether you're new or experienced, this is the perfect way to explore competitive coding. No previous coding experience is necessary. The Code Championship Series is four online tournaments hosted on Google Meet. If you have a modern browser, no download is required. PLEASE NOTE: Players must be able to navigate the internet. The Google Meet link will be emailed two days before the tournament. Registration Deadline Registration for all class sessions closes 3 business days before the start date.   • STEAM Engineering and Coding with LEGOS: Gr. 2-5

    Join this after-school class for fun and creativity using LEGOs to build, invent, and play. Students will brainstorm and develop solutions through trial and error while collaborating with their peers. The LEGO® Education SPIKE™ Essential STEAM curriculum is designed to engage students in playful, narrative-based problem-solving with relatable themes. This approach helps young learners become independent STEAM thinkers, with the skills to code and bring their LEGO creations to life.     Engineering For Kids CODING Club Unlock creativity, problem-solving, teamwork, and technology skills through hands-on coding challenges! The Engineering For Kids CODING Club provides an engaging, collaborative environment where students develop 21st-century skills while creating projects they can proudly share with family and friends. Each 6-day session introduces a new coding activity, blending fun with real-world learning. Fall 25 Session 2: CODE A BOARD GAME Turn your game ideas into reality with app development! In this exciting session, students will learn to code, test, and create their own interactive board game using the beginner-friendly Bitsbox platform. From designing the game board and tokens to coding dice mechanics, participants will bring all the pieces together into a playable digital game. By the end, they'll have a custom board game they can share and enjoy on a mobile device. Students need to have basic computer, keyboard, and mouse skills to type in code.
