  • Private Voice or Piano Lessons: Ages 7+

    **Registration price is for four 30-minute lessons. Participants will have to reach out to the instructor via email to schedule the lessons. Contact information for the instructor will be sent in the confirmation notes to arrange specific lesson dates/times. You'll receive this information after you've registered for the class** You will work one on one with an experienced vocal coach and piano teacher who has taught for over 30 years. Whether you’re new to music or have taken lessons in the past, together you will design a plan that will build from the ground up or off your current musical knowledge with engaging and fun techniques. This course will address basic skills, music theory and musicality that will allow you to progress toward your musical goals and lifelong enjoyment of music. Purchase of books recommended by your teacher will be required for lessons based on individual needs.

The {YEL!} Project Runway Sewing Camp follows four basic principles: •Teach It!…Students are taught multiple hand and machine sewing techniques; •Practice It!… Students practice those techniques on basic projects; •Sew It!…Students increase their skill and sew more complicated projects; •Own It!…Students showcase their projects on the last day of class (family and friends are invited), then take everything home with them to walk the runway of everyday life!     Join the musical adventure with the Edina Pops Orchestra Summer Camp where we’ll transform your favorite hits into stunning orchestral arrangements. From epic video game themes to chart-topping rock anthems, we'll explore music that makes your heart sing and your strings ring! With enough players, we’ll create a Middle and High school string group that will dive into an exciting world where classical technique meets contemporary cool. So put your music reading skills to work in a whole new way as we tackle fresh, fun arrangements that'll have you playing outside the classical box while simultaneously showing everyone just how versatile your orchestra skills can be! Music is best played with friends so sign up together and stick around for the afternoon Chamber music session! See the Summer Chamber String Camp afternoon session! *Camp will run Monday-Thursday on site at Edina. Friday 7/18 will be a cumulative performance in the early evening from the Pops Summer String Camp as well as the Summer Chamber String Camp at Centennial Lakes open to the public. Details TBA. Form your own dream team with orchestra friends or let us match you with fellow music enthusiasts. Want to tackle a Mozart quartet? Or find an arrangement of your favorite pop song? The choice is yours! Instructors will coach you through the art of chamber music as you learn how to communicate through the music. Every player is a leader and every voice matters. No conductor needed – just your creativity, teamwork, and passion for music! This summer camp session is perfect for those ready to level up their ensemble skills or for friends from orchestra looking to make amazing music together. Join us for a summer of harmony, friendship, and musical discovery! *Camp will run Monday-Thursday on site at Edina. Friday 7/18 will be a cumulative performance in the early evening from the Pops Summer String Camp as well as the Summer Chamber String Camp at Centennial Lakes open to the public. In this hands-on course, you'll learn the fundamentals of model-making using an architectural scale, precise hand tools, and materials like balsa wood and pine. Through careful cutting, joining, and assembly techniques, you’ll gain valuable skills in spatial thinking, scale representation, and craftsmanship. This class will provide the foundation to build models that bring your ideas into the real world. This class is taught by local creator Alo Osberg as a part of our Summer Artist in Residence Program. A timber framer, boat builder, and avid forager— Alo Osberg is most in their element when outside, learning processes for transforming raw elements into functional art. They started timber framing as an apprentice in Cherry Valley, NY in 2020 but started their carpentry work much earlier as a public artist and later a crew leader for students, volunteers, and artists at Summit Academy, Steger Wilderness Center, Historicorps, and Visitor Center Artist Camp. They are always looking for ways to connect people to place and love teaching aspiring craftfolk, adults and youth, about local organic material with curiosity, patience and play. When they’re not carving timbers, they enjoy mushroom forays, gardening, mask-making, and learning languages.

  • Summer Ballet Fundamentals I: Ages 3-5.5

    Learn Basic, fundamental ballet movement and terminology through creative exercise. Children will also develop age-appropriate motor skills and musicality. New and returning students welcome. Instructors use methods designed to encourage exploration and foster creativity.
  • Summer Ballet Fundamentals II: Ages 5.5-7

    Learning basic, fundamental ballet movement and terminology through creative exercises, students will also develop age-appropriate motor skills and musicality (building on elements learned in Fundamentals I), while infusing elements that will prepare them for the traditional ballet class format. Fundamentals I is not a required prerequisite: new and returning students are welcome.
